Manufacturing Process
The
company employs de-airing extrusion technology to manufacture high
quality acid resistant bricks and tiles. The bricks and tiles are fired
in a continuous automatic tunnel kiln at temperatures exceeding 1180
degree C. This causes the raw materials to fuse and form a compact mass
with less than 2% water absorption. This process of shaping the bricks
and tiles by extrusion and firing in high temperature ensures a strong
and hard surface output (Mohs hardness-8).
Khodiyar has a
dedicated laboratory and testing facility where the bricks and tiles
are subjected to quality checks as per BIS standards.
A careful
selection of ceramic bodies ensures the products' resistance to
aggressive effluence, sudden temperature change or resistance to
chemical spillage, etc. Khodiyar's chemical resistant bricks and
chemical resistant tiles can withstand harsh conditions and can be used
above or below the ground.
